ive been wandering what my average MPG, so i decided to fill up and work it out.....

ive just done 108 miles to 14.72 litres of fuel (Approximitly 33.43MPG).... dry.gif Not good... i think...

im pretty sure theres something not quite right with my car anyway (Spark Plugs or Dirty Filter or even the small hole in my back box), which is affecting my MPG... but most of my driving is accelerating and stopping.. round the by pass with a roundabout almost every 2 mins.... but it also is started every mourning for 5 mins to allow the driveway to be emptied and to allow my dad to get his Van out...

i'm hoping that as i begin to drive more, the MPG should be abit better as it wont be on cold start alot, as it would use that to get me going, instead of sat on road waiting for drive to empty....

Anyway back to the main point, what is everyones MPG

MPG = Miles per Gallon

To be honest if you got a fast car... and dont regually drive it... you will make the most out of it when you can biggrin.gif

36 mpg, I think, I usually try to drive economically and below 2000 revs, n below 3000 on motorways, by-passes.

The highest I ever averaged was 91.6 in my stock 1.4 TDCI zetec, on a 20 mile trip which was all country lanes. I tripped the computer before i left, and thats what is was showing when I arrived back.

Generally though I average about 55-60mpg, and I dont drive especially slowly at all, just smoothly and let it coast alot. Being a diesel it will pull itself at 35mph in 5th gear on tickover. Awesome little car...and road tax is £30 a year!

Had a run down the motorway on saturday. I filled up right before I went on it
so reset my comp and to satrt off I was showing 90 + MPG for the first mile then
when I went a bit quicker (50-60 ish {bloody speed limit sad.gif }) it went down to
about 55MPG yikes.gif From a 1.6 Zetec-S yikes.gif
